The roots of IBA ICM can be traced back to 2012, when the first edition of the Conference was held at IBA main campus to enlighten its audience with the modern marketing research techniques. With an immense success and profound appreciation of the first two versions of the conference, IBA has managed to present IBAICM 3.0 in December 2016.
The conference is destined to highlight indigenous marketing issues through empirically tested research and to channel the gap between research and practice by bringing together both practitioners and academicians in the field of marketing. Through this conference, IBA offers a platform for students, academics, researchers and practitioners from various parts of the world, to discuss and explore new horizons of modern research.
Aligned with the objective of promoting marketing and research, IBAICM's theme for this year is 'Marketing to the bottom of Pyramid in emerging markets'. The conference has been organized around two tracks: the academic track which will facilitate discussion of creative ideas and innovative research strategies; and the corporate track which is intended to link theory with practice and to identify corporate research needs.
The corporate track will be conducted in IBA main campus, on 8th of December while the academic track will be held in our partnering institute, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 19th to 20th of December, 2016.
The first two conferences had representation from Bangladesh, Germany, Great Britain, Korea, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, and the United States of America; this diversity enabled the attendants to learn out of a variety of experiences and ideas shared at the conferences. This year again, we are proud to have invited guests from different parts of the world. The conference is designed to have panel discussions, parallel sessions and keynote sessions. Our keynote speakers are renowned industry experts and specialists in their relevant fields. Through interaction with our distinguished speakers, participants will get a chance to network with the professionals and gain valuable market insights, which will help them streamline their careers.
